“I really want to feel it, to feel like I’m invisible.” This is the first line that speaks to the darkness of addiction I had been in. Wanting to escape reality. Trying to run for my life … but not getting anywhere. Just a constant cycle of insanity and being stuck in the same place over and over. Until finally in recovery (and in the bridge of this song) I learned that the problem wasn’t the world, it wasn’t them, it was me. I needed to accept the world just as it is, not as I would have it, and then I surrendered to that and discovered that I could find peace even in the storms of life … I could dance in the rain and know that the sun will shine again and I can be at total peace.
