Acoustic Sessions Vol. 2

It was New Years Eve 2015. I was in downtown Nashville ready to ring in the New Year with one of my favorite singers and one of my favorite bands, Chris Stapleton and Kings of Leon! The show was amazing and Kings of Leon did a count down and at midnight, dropped the confetti and then started playing “Use Somebody.” I had already loved the song and the band, but it was watching all of the people around me singing every lyric and every note of that song that made me realize just how great the song was. What a way to ring in 2016. So, I started covering the song every live show after that, so it’s great to include it on Acoustic Sessions Vol. 2. On the opposite end of that 7 year span is a love song I wrote recently. Fun writing a love song when you’re single. Because it comes from a perspective of what you want in a partner and the ideal love. In summary, two different tracks that come from two totally different places, but hopefully capture the rawness of the emotions.
