Acoustic Sessions Vol. 3

With “Acoustic Sessions Vol. 3,” I get to drop “I Know Me” and “Rodeo” … these songs are extremely specific to my personal journey from addiction and into recovery and then, away from codependency. “I Know Me” speaks right to what life was like before sobriety. Just pure debauchery and running my life into the ground and as close to death as possible. It’s dark, because addiction is dark. And “Rodeo” is the relationship that exists within that active addiction. The fear. The fear of losing control, of losing someone you think you need, but it’s someone deep down that you know you need to lose. Someone that’s not good for you. And it’s not even their fault… I’m no good for myself in that state, so how can I be good for anyone else. And it’s like the chaos of a rodeo.
